Grand Royale Hotel at 79 Collier Street, Binghamton, New York.

This hotel is like a grand old lady. There are remnants of her former beauty but she has cracks and blemishes now. I enjoyed myself emensly. Sure, I couldn't figure out how to work the microwave and I got locked in the room for a few minutes... but the place is clean and comfortable and more importantly it has charm. Faded, cracked charm but charm none the less. The staff was great. The hotel is right downtown and within easy walking to shops and food. It was inexpensive and would be good for a longer/working stay.
